I was appointed as a Local Authority Governor late 2013 after expressing my interest to be involved in education in Welling and have been involved with Hillsgrove and it's journey since. My working background has been quite varied until I fell into Human Resources in 2009 working in a number of industries including the Arts, Retail and most recently in Education.

I joined the Governing Body in October 2017 after expressing an interest to work with the school, having previously been a student here. I am a Chartered Accountant and work in Public Sector Audit for a global accountancy firm. I have a portfolio of internal and external audit clients in the not for profit sector and I am looking forward to using experience from my professional life to supporting the school to continue to improve. I am a member of both the Curriculum Committee and the Finance and Staffing Committee.

I joined the Local Governing Body at Hillsgrove in October 2017 after serving for 19 years as a Governor at Old Bexley CoE Primary School, including 12 years as Chair. I am a Chartered Engineer and for half my career working for BT in a variety of senior engineering management roles. In 1995 I joined Kemnal Technology College as a Vice Principal with responsibility for all non-teaching activity and in 2010 became Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary for the Kemnal Academies Trust.

I was appointed as a Governor in 2017. My children are in various year groups in the school and I also volunteer at Hillsgrove in Year 1. I am a member of the Curriculum Committee and the Finance and Staffing Committee since September.

I have had a connection with Hillsgrove for many years and was invited to become a Governor. In my professional life I worked at P&O Containers for 26 years and at that time I was Social Secretary for the PTA. I am now retired but have been working for the Metropolitan Police on a voluntary basis for the last 10 years and also the Greenwich & Bexley Hospice.

I have been involved with Hillsgrove School since being appointed a local authority governor in 2006. In my professional life, I was a Research Fellow at University College London working in medical research, specifically with viruses. Since retiring I now work as a volunteer adviser with CA am involved with the Boys Brigade and also the DofE Awards
