What to do if your child is unwell: If your child is unwell and unable to attend school, please call the school office by 9.15am to report their absence.  If your child is suffering from a sick bug, they should be kept away from school for 24 hours after the last episode.

Healthcare Pack: The school's Healthcare Pack provides information for parents on topics such as medication and infectious diseases.

Prescribed medicines: Prescribed medicines should be taken outside of school hours if at all possible.  If a prescribed medicine needs to be given during the school day then please come to the office and fill in the appropriate consent form.  Further details on the procedure to be followed can be found on pages 5 & 6 of the Healthcare Pack above.

Please keep the school up to date with any medical needs for your child (eg nut allergies, asthma), and ensure all appropriate medication is in date and handed in at the school office.

Bexley 0-19 Children's Public Health Service: The Bexley 0-19 service is delivered by school nurses and community nursery nurses. To contact the nursing team: call 0300 330 5777 or email bromh.bexley0to19@nhs.net

Within school each year, Reception pupils are measured for height and weight, and undergo vision and hearing tests.  Year 6 pupils are also measured for height and weight.  Nasal Flu vaccinations are offered to pupils in Reception to Year 6 between October and December.

The service is trialling After School Drop-In Clinics in Sidcup, Erith and Thamesmead.  The one in Sidcup is  held at the Barnard Clinic in Granville Road.  There is also a drop-in clinic held there on Wednesday afternoons for parental concerns.

The nursing team have chosen to use social media as a way for parents, children and young people to engage with any nursing advice.  Contained within the Bexley 0 to 19 website are separate sections for 0-4 year olds, 5-10 year olds and 11-19 year olds, as well as a resources section and other health and advice sources.  Additionally, older children are able to live chat to a Health Visitor or School Nurse and advice is given via email.  No clinical information is given in this chat function.  This service is available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
